{"id":451,"date":"2016-10-21T11:22:08","date_gmt":"2016-10-21T01:22:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/kng.tech\/blog\/?p=451"},"modified":"2016-10-21T12:11:28","modified_gmt":"2016-10-21T02:11:28","slug":"how-to-resetadd-userpassword-in-windows-10-without-login","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/kng.tech\/blog\/how-to-resetadd-userpassword-in-windows-10-without-login\/","title":{"rendered":"How to reset\/add user\/password in Windows 10 without login"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What happen when you forgot your password to log into Windows 10 and there is no other account that you could log into?<\/p>\n<p>Turn out Windows 10 has a hidden feature which can be very handy in this situation!<\/p>\n<p>Boot the computer with a Windows 10 Installation CD or Win10PE<br \/>\nOnce in the command prompt:<\/p>\n<pre><code>move C:\\Windows\\System32\\utilman.exe C:\\Windows\\System32\\utilman.exe.bat\r\ncopy C:\\Windows\\System32\\cmd.exe C:\\Windows\\System32\\utilman.exe<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>Reboot the computer normally.<br \/>\nWhen you get to the login screen, normally under bottom right corner, there is this Ease Of Access button <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-457 alignnone\" src=\"https:\/\/kng.tech\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/ease-of-access-icon1-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"ease-of-access-icon1\" width=\"51\" height=\"51\" \/>. Which is now replaced with CMD.<\/p>\n<p>Open the command prompt:<\/p>\n<pre><code>net user &lt;username&gt; &lt;password&gt; \/add\r\nnet localgroup administrators &lt;username&gt; \/add<\/code><\/pre>\n<p>That's it.
